An Introduction to NJSS
Nava Jyoti Higher Secondary School, established in 2038 B. S. ( 1981 A.D.) and situated in the heart of Kathmandu Valley at ,Bashukinagar Marg, Tinkune, Koteshwor has come along way in educating the students . This school has constantly been giving outstanding academic results in S. L. C. (SEE) exams with tremendous performances in other fields as well.
It is a co-educational English medium school which always emphasizes on the need of scientific and quality education as well as extra curricular activities . It has earned reputation in various competitions organized by different social and Governmental Organizations.
After a long and successive experience this school has launched higher secondary level. It is resolute to expand its services to the students continuously . We have been running classes of Management and Humanities since the academic session 1999 A.D. More than Ninety-five percent students have got successful results with excellent marks in Higher Education Board Examination (HSEB).
This school is determined to teach the students to be creative and productive in a loving atmosphere under a good discipline by well-trained and experienced teachers.
This school believes in clearing the concepts of the subjects to the students rather than rote learning. It always focuses attention to develop the student’s individual potentialities so that the students can gain higher knowledge, efficiency and good conduct with an integrated personality. A part from the curricular programmes it has also been conducting music, dance, drama, drawing, sports, elocution, debate, quiz, spelling contest and educational tour as extra curricular activities. It also trains the students in creative and literary writings such as essays, poems, stories etc. The school has a library with sufficient books, a laboratory and stationery facilities.
Three terminals and an Annual Examinations are held every year . The minimum 40% is considered to be the pass marks in each examination except those held by District Examination Board, SEE. Examination Board & HSEB under MOE Nepal . Weekly and monthly tests are also held to evaluate the student’s progress and performances on every subject .
The upgrading of the students depends on the performances in the final examination . The marks secured in every terminal examination can be considered.
